On 2 and 3 March 2022, MOVING hosted online its Steering Committee to take stock of the first year and a half of the project.
On the first day, Work Packages (WPs) leaders provided updates of the work carried so far and the next steps.
Furthermore, there was a special session to present the work done so far by the 23 project reference regions (RRs) through their Multi-Actor Platforms (MAPs).
The second day was dedicated to plan and discuss the project reporting, publication guidelines, the future MOVING App and regions partners’ exchanges.
The first set of 23 individual policy briefs was also published. They include the description of the Mountain Reference Region (MRR), the value chain (VC) contribution to sustainability and resilience of the region, some innovation components of the VC and a number of policy relevant considerations.

MOVING (MOuntain Valorization through INterconnectedness and Green growth) is a project funded with € 6 million from the Horizon 2020 programme, and coordinated by the University of Córdoba (Spain).
It aims to create the necessary capacities at the local and institutional level to co-design the policy framework that allows the development of value chains that guarantee the sustainability and resilience of mountain areas. It will be done in a bottom-up participatory process with value chain actors, regional and European stakeholders and policy-makers.
